We are thrilled to welcome back Paola Bittar, who returned to our firm as an associate as of 1 May 2025, after completing her legal traineeship with us between 2022 and 2024 and successfully passing the Geneva Bar examination in November 2024.

Paola’s main areas of practice include civil, criminal and administrative litigation, banking and finance law, data privacy, business crime, private international law, and mutual assistance in civil and criminal matters. She is fluent in French, English and German.

The article discusses the recent reform of the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure, which now formally recognises private expert reports as admissible evidence — a significant development that opens up new procedural and strategic avenues, particularly in summary proceedings such as the recognition of foreign judgments or interim measures.
